Miss. Chelsea's love of dance has grown since starting at the age of 2. She is a national champion in Canada and the United States, winning numerous scholarships and titles. Chelsea was trained at Dimensions In Dance which is the top studio in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. Chelsea studied dance with the internationally renowned choreographer and studio owner Kimberly Kay, the mega talented and Dora Mavor Award nominated performer, educator and adjudicator Jay T. Schramek. Chelsea started her ballet training at age 3 and has strong technique training from the talented Katherine Kuwabara, R.A.D. Chelsea has many exams under her belt, obtaining Distinction for all ballet exams and is currently working to achieve her Solo Seal Award, which is the highest vocational graded examination at the Royal Academy of Dance. Chelsea has successfully completed her Royal Academy of Dance Teacher Certificate Program and is now RAD certified. Chelsea has successfully completed her studies in child psychology, anatomy and kinesiology, body conditioning and health & safety. She is also a member of the Professional Adjudicator Alliance. Chelsea has also been a guest choreographer at Dance Attack workshops. Chelsea has done master classes with Blake McGrath, Stacey Tookey and professional dancer and clinician Michel Figaux and many, many more. Chelsea's training is extensive and continues to attend and participate in many workshops, teacher expos and seminars to bring your children the most up to date dance training.
Mariah’s passion for dance began at the age of three, training at Grand River Dance Academy in Fergus, ON. She has excelled in RAD ballet exams and received high level achievements in both CDTA jazz and tap examinations. Mariah started competing at the age of 13 and continued training under Lisa Collins and Cora Kozaris in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and acrobatics. Mariah later joined Bringing Tap Back where she was taught and mentored by Everett Smith. In 2013, Mariah graduated high school from Eastwood Collegiate Institute as a dance and drama major. Mariah has performed as a tap dancer in three shows with Everett Smith’s tap company Bringing Tap Back. She participated in Keisha Chante and JRDN’s music videos as a backup dancer, was a dancer in Ballet Jorgens ‘The Nutcracker’ for three seasons and spent a season performing as a Junior Dance Pak dancer for the NBA Raptors. In 2010, she competed in Reisa, Germany at IDO World Tap Championships. Mariah traveled to Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto to participate in dance classes and work shops with world renown choreographers. Mariah’s professional career started at the young age of 17. It began with dancing for Canada’s Wonderland and choreographing for local community theatres. After graduating high school, she continued her career in Entertainment as a dancer for Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy vessels. She has completed her Module One Certification with Acrobatic Arts and is continuing to seek out opportunities to grow as an instructor. Mariah is a passionate and dedicated instructor and dancer who is excited about sharing her love for dance with the students of Chelsea’s Dance Pac.
Miss Dana is from Barrie, Ontario. Dana has always been very committed to her career in the performing industry, graduating with a Specialist High Skills Art Major with courses in Audition Prep, Theatre Makeup and Conducting! She trained recreationally and competitively at a local studio. By age 14 she was dancing competitively receiving special awards for precision and control, as well as winning overalls for hip-hop performances. She has trained in intensive hip-hop camps, such as the Right1 Program, within Toronto with many talented teachers working in the industry. Miss Dana has performed as a back up dancer for local talent performing at concerts and local events. As well, Dana has been trained vocally since the age of 13 and continued her career by taking on a supporting role in a local touring musical. By 2013, Miss Dana began her post-secondary journey into George Brown College P103 Commercial Dance Program where she was intensively trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre, vocal, acting and much more. Miss Dana graduated and won the Vocal Award in her program. She was also a part of the Express Entertainment Company and performed a burlesque number at the Toronto Bazaar. Miss Dana has now finished her undergrad degree in English and Psychology and is now pursing her Bachelor’s of Education in Primary/Junior She has had an abundance of experience teaching in schools as well as in dance classes with kids of all ages! She has a real passion for teaching and making the classroom a fun and welcoming environment! She is very excited to be part of the CDP Family!
Dave is a part of Ambitious Movement, a Hip-hop based dance and Entertainment Company lead by choreographer Ambitious Anthony Smith.
Dave has made televised appearances on “So You Think You Can Dance” Pre show, Family Channel’s “The Next Step,” Toronto’s Public Health commercial, Chapman's Ice Cream commercial, "Reign" from the CW Network and a few music videos. He’s also showcased his talent on stages such as World of Dance (Toronto), Wii Day, Toronto’s Choreographers Ball, and the Bazaar Dance Showcase just to name a few. You may also find Dave on the judging panel for Hip-Hop International’s Canadian Hip-Hop Championships.
Dave is trained in different styles of Hip-hop but has trained intensively in waving, popping, tutting, breakin’ and house. He specializes in hip-hop choreography, Hip-hop technique, R&B and tumbling. With all this knowledge under his belt, Dave decided to begin passing it down to the next generations and created his crew, “Rising Legion.”
Jessica Maharaj, originally from Mississauga, Ontario began dancing at the age of 12, with Canadian Dance Company. She graduated from Iona Catholic Secondary school’s dance program under the direction of Angela Missaghian. After high school Jessica continued her training with many different teachers and companies such as, Dark Dance under the direction of Lineen Doung, Toronto Dance Project where she got to learn from a plethora of extremely talented teachers such as Siona Jackson and Esie Mensah to name a few, Hollywood Jade who she has gone onto work for on multiple occasions. She was a member of Hot in Heels under the direction of Angela Mahoney. Currently Jessica is a part of Carnival Spice under the direction of Shakera Martin and has switched her focus from performing to choreography.
Courteney began dancing at the age of 3 starting her dance training in Ballet. Throughout her ballet training with the Society of Russian Ballet she has achieved her exam certificates for levels 3 through 8, Pre Elementary, Elementary, and Intermediate. As she grew older, she grew increasingly eager to expand her knowledge in various dance styles. Courteney began training at the Barrie School of Dance at age 7 and soon after joined the competitive team. She has been trained in, and is currently studying Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Pointe, Pas de Deux, Basic Acrobatics, Basic Aerial, and various cultural styles. Courteney continued her training and graduated Spring of 2019 with a Diploma from the Dance Performance Program at Centennial College. Throughout her years of dancing, she has danced as an apprentice with the company Simcoe Contemporary Dancers and has worked on contract with TDC Entertainment. She has also had the opportunity to dance at the Premier’s Awards Gala for all Ontario Colleges in 2018. Volunteering opportunities have allowed her to share her knowledge with students while choreographing pieces at her high school and home dance studio. Courteney is now continuing her career seeking new experiences performing as well as teaching and is ready for any opportunities and challenges coming her way.
