Miss. Chelsea, CDP, dancer, teacher, choreographer

Miss. Chelsea,

Miss. Chelsea's love of dance has grown since starting at the age of 2. She is a national champion in Canada and the United States, winning numerous scholarships and titles. Chelsea was trained at Dimensions In Dance which is the top studio in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region.  Chelsea studied dance with the internationally renowned choreographer and studio owner Kimberly Kay, the mega talented and Dora Mavor Award nominated performer, educator and adjudicator Jay T. Schramek. Chelsea started her ballet training at age 3 and has strong technique training from the talented Katherine Kuwabara, R.A.D.  Chelsea has many exams under her belt, obtaining Distinction for all ballet exams and is currently working to achieve her Solo Seal Award, which is the highest vocational  graded examination at the Royal Academy of Dance. Chelsea has successfully completed her Royal Academy of Dance Teacher Certificate Program and is now RAD certified. Chelsea has successfully completed her studies in child psychology, anatomy and kinesiology, body conditioning and health & safety. She is also a member of the Professional Adjudicator Alliance. Chelsea has also been a guest choreographer at Dance Attack workshops. Chelsea has done master classes with Blake McGrath, Stacey Tookey and professional dancer and clinician Michel Figaux and many, many more. Chelsea's training is extensive and continues to attend and participate in many workshops, teacher expos and seminars to bring your children the most up to date dance training.

Miss. Christina

Christina Digiuseppe is a passionate dance artist and choreographer based in Toronto, Canada. Known for her cutting edge and versatile artistry, Christina is a visionary in her work continuing to push boundaries in the ever evolving world of dance.

 

Christina has choreographed performances for International stages as well numerous industrial performances for companies and events across Ontario. 

She has self-produced and artistically directed professional productions which include The Love Project, The Infinite Continuum, The House of Heartbreak, Exyst, Mizpah, Revolt, La Femme Kabarett, (Toronto Fringe Festival) and De Novo. She recently produced her ninth production, JUXTAPOSE, which was showcased at the 2023 Toronto Fringe Festival. 

 

Christina was honored with an invitation to showcase her choreography at the American Dance Guild Festival held in New York City to represent Canada in Modern dance. In 2015, Christina was chosen as a finalist in the Capezio Ace Awards for Choreographic excellence. In 2014, Christina was awarded the Choreographer's Connection Grant by Regional Dance America, where she had the honor of working alongside Miss Nelly Van Bommel as an emerging artist.

Christina has dedicated over twenty years mastering her abilities as an accomplished dance artist, mentor and choreographer. She is an adjudicator for dance competitions across Canada, and is a proud member of the Professional Adjudicator's Alliance. Christina is a mentor for youth dancers both in the competitive and pre-professional levels. She has taught and choreographed extensively for dance studios and Arts high schools guiding and inspiring the creative abilities of young dance artists. 

Through her work, Christina has contributed her distinctive and innovative artistic abilities to the dance industry creating platforms for professional dancers across Ontario. Her professional training, experience and accomplishments as both a dance artist and choreographer allow her to continue sharing her artistic voice with audiences and dance artists alike. It is her goal to continue being a positive role model in the dance industry helping to shape the face of dance for years to come.

Miss. Theresa

     Theresa began her dance career at the age of 4, studying and competing in all genres of dance; ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, musical theatre, and tap. 

In 1987, she started her career in teaching And is currently a tap and jazz examiner with the PERFORMING ART EDUCATORS of CANADA (PAEC). Theresa has adjudicated throughout southern Ontario; most recently she has acquired a license in tap adjudication from the INTERNATIONAL DANCE ORGANIZATION (IDO). A highlight in her career was being one of the choreographer for TEAM CANADA in 2015, 2016, 2018, and coming up in 2021.

 

     As a mother of three and a grandmother; Theresa brings a enriched and unique perspective into a child’s learning and development. As well as bringing a high level of care with every dancer she works with; inviting dancers with of all ability and special needs into her classes.

 

     Theresa is very excited to another an amazing season with Chelsea Dance Pac.

Mr. Chris

Chris Gallina is a dancer and choreographer from Toronto, On. Throughout his dance career, he has performed and choreographed for events by Hugo Boss, WestJet, Crystal Ball Foundation, Wal-Mart, Scotiabank and many more. Chris has featured in the Chapman's Ice Cream Sunday commercial, Megan Patrick's "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" music video, and Brett Kissel's music video for "Anthem". His recent tour of The Jungle Book Circus has taken him to China, Singapore, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. He has taught at a numerous studios across Canada and his choreography has won numerous awards at competition. Chris loves to share his knowledge with his students and loves to support their individual growth.

Super Dave

Dave is a part of Ambitious Movement, a Hip-hop based dance and Entertainment Company lead by choreographer Ambitious Anthony Smith.

 Dave has made televised appearances on “So You Think You Can Dance” Pre show, Family Channel’s “The Next Step,” Toronto’s Public Health commercial, Chapman's Ice Cream commercial, "Reign" from the CW Network and a few music videos. He’s also showcased his talent on stages such as World of Dance (Toronto), Wii Day, Toronto’s Choreographers Ball, and the Bazaar Dance Showcase just to name a few. You may also find Dave on the judging panel for Hip-Hop International’s Canadian Hip-Hop Championships.

Dave is trained in different styles of Hip-hop but has trained intensively in waving, popping, tutting, breakin’ and house. He specializes in hip-hop choreography, Hip-hop technique, R&B and tumbling. With all this knowledge under his belt, Dave decided to begin passing it down to the next generations and created his crew, “Rising Legion.”

Miss. Cecilia

Cecilia is 23 years old, she started dancing at the age of 8 and started competing at the age of 10. She competed up until she graduated High School. She is trained in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Song and Dance, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, Acro, and a bit of Tap, competing in many of those styles as well. During her competition journey Cecilia has won many awards, overalls and special awards. As a dancer she has done R.A.D Ballet exams up to the Intermediate level and an Acrobatic Arts level 5 exam. In 2016 Cecilia was a dancer in “The Nutcracker” with the National Ballet of Canada in Toronto! 

 

Post High School, Cecilia completed 2 dance programs at George Brown College, in the 1 year Performance Preparatory Program she graduated with a Certificate with honours and in the 2 year Performance Program she graduated with a Diploma with honours. During her time at George Brown she was training Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, Acting, Vocals and Self Choreography classes. Cecilia has worked with many well known Toronto dancers and choreographers during her college time. 

 

Cecilia has been teaching recreational and competitive dancers for only 3 years but her competitive choreography has already won many awards including special awards, choreography awards and overall awards. She loves teaching and watching her students improve and grow and she can’t wait to keep growing as a teacher as well.

Miss. Ava

Ava Kotick is a Canadian teacher, choreographer, and dancer. She grew up dancing in the United States, under the direction of the Princeton Ballet School and the Dance Corner. Whilst in the States she had the privilege to train with choreographers such as Abby Lee Miller, Alexa Moffett, Mollee Gray, and more. In her teens, Kotick moved to Ontario and continued her competitive dance training. Although she enjoyed dancing she realized her true passion was teaching and began to volunteer at the Wildwood Academy, a school for special needs children. Through this experience, she learned how to teach students with a variety of disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Oppositional Defiant Behaviour, and Developmental Delays. Most recently, Kotick worked with the Etobicoke School of the Arts’ dance department to reconstruct Ontario’s Secondary School dance courses to make them accessible to special education students.

Kotick is a graduate of York University for her special honours BFA degree in dance where she had the opportunity to learn under some of Toronto’s best industry professionals. Now part of the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers and Professional Adjudicators Alliance, she continues to teach in studios and schools across the GTA and throughout the States, and is eager to continue pulling the passion out of every one of her students.
